The range of OPPO Reno8 smartphones is coming to France: high-performance models, with very premium finishes and offered at very attractive prices. And until September 14, 2022 included, for the purchase of one of these smartphones, take advantage of an introductory offer and an included 3-year warranty.
The OPPO Reno8: an ace of photography
The OPPO Reno8 benefits from the same set of cameras co-engineered with Sony found on the OPPO Reno8 Pro. Its 50 Mp Sony IMX766 main sensor is coupled with an ultra wide angle and a macro lens. At the front, OPPO has integrated another Sony sensor (IMX709) of 32 Mp equipped with white pixels allowing both to capture more light and reduce noise, especially in low light conditions.
OPPO specifies that the sensor is equipped with DOL-HDR technology, allowing particularly fine image processing. The selfie sensor can capture videos in “portrait mode” – in other words, generate live, for example, the popular Bokeh blur effect. The OPPO Reno8 is also equipped with the “Ultra Night Video” mode, which allows you to capture beautiful and bright videos even if the scene is poorly lit, including with the selfie sensor.

Enough to create even more breathtaking videos in the moment. Thanks to its 5G connectivity, you can immediately post them on social networks. And if that’s not enough, OPPO has created a new innovation on the image processing side – only available, however, on the OPPO Reno8 Pro, the most muscular model in the range.
The new image processing chip, MariSilicon X, delivers even more advanced photographic quality, allowing 4K filming even in night mode. To achieve this result, OPPO explains that the chip alone has more processing power than the A15 chip of the iPhone 13 (18 TOPS against 15.8 TOPS).
The MariSilicon X chip uses this power to process the image more efficiently with artificial intelligence. The on-chip learning models are specially trained to reduce noise and other glitches, or render live effects.
Not only does this technology deliver rather impressive results (including with 4K/30 fps videos), but as a bonus it has little impact on battery life. The chip in fact only spends 1 W per calculated TOPS, which represents best-in-class energy efficiency.
Premium design, the hallmark of the OPPO Reno8 range
OPPO has been offering a new design language for some time, linked to its mastery of materials and manufacturing processes. The brand now manages to create complex one-piece elements, as back covers – in materials such as glass, ceramics or advanced polymers.
The OPPO Reno8 features the same premium integrated design as the Pro model, but it should be noted that the back is here in polymer with “OPPO Glow” coatingwhich offers both an excellent grip but also a look that is both sober and elegant. The OPPO Reno8 Pro offers an integrated glass back – set of photo sensors included.
All with gentle and rounded slopes. The brand explains that it used “a unique high pressure hot forging process”. There are no welds – it is one and the same. This has, in addition to the aesthetic advantage, that of less causing the accumulation of dust in the recesses.
The OPPO Reno8 features a 6.43″ AMOLED screen with 90 Hz refresh rate (180 Hz touch response) for smoother gaming and browsing. The panel delivers FHD definition (2,400 x 1,080 px), for a density of 409 ppi, an 8-bit color depth, and a brightness of up to 600 nit.
On the OPPO Reno8 Pro, OPPO has integrated a customized HDR10+ certified flexible AMOLED display for a high-quality immersive experience. In addition, the OPPO Reno8 Pro offers a larger screen (6.7 inches) and almost non-existent borders, in particular the “chin” which is often found predominantly on smartphones. The smartphone offers a lower border of only 2.37 mm which is unheard of on a smartphone of the brand, for an effect “without limits” successful.

Added to this is the 120Hz refresh rate for an ultra-responsive browsing experience.
Autonomy, recharging, durability… the OPPO Reno8 ticks all the boxes
All smartphones in the OPPO Reno8 range are equipped with a comfortable 4,500 mAh battery, which can last more than a day in typical use and titillate the two days of autonomy in case of moderate use. And if your battery is at 0%, Just 11 minutes can be enough to charge it up to 50% – which turns out to be very practical in use.
OPPO has beefed up the battery to the point of announcing that it will retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1600 charge cycles or 4 years of average daily use. It should be noted in passing that all smartphones in the OPPO Reno8 range are guaranteed for 3 years (manufacturer). The German organization TÜV Rheinland also certifies it for fluidity of rank A after three years.
The OPPO Reno8 range is for all budgets
The OPPO Reno8 is definitely the real star of the range this year. This worthy successor to the OPPO Reno6 gains two premium photo sensors co-designed with Sony. These components offer both better image quality and better performance, all with Ultra Night Video, Ultra HDR and Night Portrait modes present across the range.
We also have a much more powerful processor, faster charging, a battery that lasts longer. But also twice as much internal storage, and access to more recent technologies such as 5G, Bluetooth 5.3 or WiFi 6. All this for only 599.90 euros.
The OPPO Reno8 Pro, on the other hand, brings the new MariSilicon X chip compared to its predecessor, which delivers clear improvements for shooting HDR and low-light videos. But also a more powerful processor, a 120 Hz screen, and an integrated hot-forged glass design for a price of 799.90 euros.
