Stranger Things raises the bar even higher with new episodes
We suspected that the remaining four hoursspread over two episodes, were going to offer us a breathless conclusion and set up a season 5 promising a finale in apotheosis. It will have to be because season 4 was a real tidal wave establishing record breaking. This success on the Netflix platform is due to a whole bunch of little things that made the series so popular. In the lot, we can notably cite the mythical scene where Eddie performs a memorable performance on the title Puppeteer of Metallica, or the ability of certain actors to improvise some of their scenes during filming.

But, beyond all that, it is also the tension and the treatment reserved for a handful of characters which made the reactions around this season 4 so strong. In addition to stalling references to horror films of the 80s, this fourth season was also the scene of a lot of horrors that marked the spectators, but also the actors of the show.. Among them, Joseph Quinn, who plays the character of Eddie Munson, revealed that seeing one of the terrible scenes of these nine episodes, he did not think it would be broadcast as is.
A season 4 that started very very strong!
Unfortunately, we left to wait a while before discovering season 5 which, according to the directors, should be shorter than the one we just watched. In the meantime, we console ourselves by savoring the fact that the universe of Stranger Things will have the right to two spin-offs and by reading the interviews of the various actors of the series. After the juicy details about the love triangle in which Nancy’s character finds herself, it is the actor playing Eddie who makes a few confessions about season 4.

When filming the different episodes, the actor was able to see the work that went into what he considers to be one of the most brutal scenes of season 4and for good reason : this is the scene from the very first episode where Eddie witnesses Chrissy’s death, trapped in the Vecna spell, where the bones in her body break and her eyes disappear . For him, it was impossible, at the sight of the images, that the staging be preserved during the final editing. And yet! In an interview with the site ScreenRantJoseph Quinn spoke of it like this.
I remember that during the first session of ADR (Note: Automated Dialogue Replacement, that is to say the fact of re-recording the dialogues in a calm environment in post-production) that I carried out, they said to me: “We should show you death? and I was like, “Yeah, sure.” They showed me and I said, “You’re not gonna get away with it, Netflix won’t let you.” But they did and yeah, I think it’s really awful.
