The prognosis Canalturf.com
Quinté+ on Wednesday at Pornichet-La-Baule with the 9th Stage of the Grand National du Trot, a national harness race at Group III level, over 2725 meters, for 5 to 10 year olds inclusive. Drop of 25 meters to €279,000, 50 meters to 502,000. URZY’S FAIRPLAY (our photo) holds a theoretical first chance.
14 URZY’S FAIRPLAY : A Group III level trotter, he easily won a B race on February 22 at Vincennes. Stopped then, he has just run twice in July in order to prepare for this race on Wednesday. He does not always benefit from good entries, so he was certainly well sharpened by JMB for this stage of the GNT. He has the means to return 25 meters victoriously.
12 Echo of Chanley : Fourth in a Group III on May 18 in Vincennes, then second in the GNT stage on June 8 in Laval, he then finished second in a Group II on July 9 in Vichy. This excellent finisher, confirmed on the Pornichet-La Baule track, also deserves a lot of credit.
10 FARAH DES CAUX : During her last eight outings, this 7-year-old mare has two victories, five first appearances and a third place. It is aging remarkably well, having never been so strong. She remains on a second place in the GNT stage of July 15 in Cabourg. Watch out for her!
1 GALILEE BELLO : After two consecutive victories in Quinté+ of level D on 20 April and 29 April at Cordemais and Rouen-Mauquenchy, it finished second in a Quinté+ of level on 11 July at Sables-d’Olonne before returning to victory on July 27 at Enghien in a Group III. In top form, this trotter who has always been highly esteemed by those around him has a good card to play here.
3 FRENCH : He won in a D race on March 12 at Caen. And he has just easily won a B race on July 22 at Cabourg. This quality trotter is currently in very good shape. He has the means to fight for the first places.
2 FAKIR OF MAHEY : After easily winning two D races on June 2 and June 24 at Meslay-du-Maine and Vincennes, he has just finished second in French man in Cabourg. Given its form, it logically deserves credit in this stage of the GNT.
13 FREYJA DU PONT : Third in the April 27 stage at Châteaubriant, second in the May 25 stage at Croisé-Laroche, sixth in the June 8 stage at Laval, she finished, during her last two outings, fourth in a Group II in Vichy and third in the GNT stage on July 15 in Cabourg. He’s a good underdog.
9 EIRE OF HELIOS : Third in the GNT stage on March 9 in Amiens, fifth in the April 13 stage in Reims, sixth in the April 27 stage in Châteaubriant, third in the May 25 stage in Croisé-Laroche and fourth from that of June 8 in Laval, this good finisher is very recommendable for a small place.
