In addition to forming together the famous GAFAM, Google, Apple, Facebook (Meta), Amazon and Microsoft, share many points in common, including a particularly sensitive one, that of knowing absolutely all our actions.

But anyway, from the moment you own a smartphone, Google, via Android (but also iOS), or Apple (via its iPhones), know absolutely everything about you. But suddenly, how to access these famous “personal data”? In reality there are two methods, a so-called “simple and limited” and a more complete but also a little more complex.

The first method to have a quick summary of your activity and consult your journeys, your emails, your browsing history, your news sources, manage your means of payment, etc. is simply to go for a walk on the
Google Dashboard

(you can bookmark it).

From here, you will be able to consult and download all the data concerning you. Creepy or exciting, it’s up to you. If, for example, you want to download all your photos or all your files on Google Drive, but also your various calendars or your contacts, you have access to most of your account.

Better, if you want to download everything at once, or delete services (YouTube, Gmail, Play Games, Stadia, Google Pay, etc. two large buttons are provided at the very top of the page.

To go even further in the process, it is possible to have access to much more data about you by going for a quick tour of your account settings:

• Click on your portrait at the top right of Google Chrome
• Click on “Manage your Google account
• In the left menu, choose “Data and Privacy”

Here, you now have access to absolutely everything about you, your even more extensive history, the information you share with other people, the famous Dashboard seen above, and a whole host of other options, including the possibility of “planning your digital heritage”, when you have died for example, or even simply deleting your Google account if you want to start over with a blank page.
