Game News F1 22: Finally on the starting grid, a new trailer to celebrate
In just a few hours, players will finally be able to hit the asphalt at full speed as F1 22 will finally be available. To celebrate this great moment, Codemasters offers players a launch trailer.
Lots of new features for F1 22
With F1 22, Codemasters is doing a great job and offering fans of the license the opportunity to discover the new rules of the championship as well as new game modes, but that’s not all. It will also be possible to drive new hybrid cars, to find ground effect single-seaters and of course to face new tracks. Circuits such as Barcelona, Melbourne (Australia) and Yas Marina (Abu Dhabi), for example, have had the right to a small overhaul, while the Miami circuit is making its debut.
Finally, note that the game offers a VR mode on PC compatible Valve Index, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and that it takes into account on PlayStation 5 the different features of DualSense.
For the PS5, adaptive triggers are used by directly relating the resistance of the trigger to the slip ratio of the tires. This means that when your car ‘steers’ under braking, the degree of resistance of the brake trigger also increases, allowing for a more immersive connection with the car. Similarly, if you coast, the resistance of the throttle trigger increases. A subtle difference between the default resistance of the throttle and brake triggers has also been implemented to simulate the pressure difference needed to activate the brake pedal versus that needed to activate the gas pedal in a real Formula 1 car. . Our test is already available!
If you want to know more about this brand new episode, note that you have come to the right place, since we had the chance to get our hands on the game before its launch. The game, which scored 16 out of 20 in our columns, won us over. Indeed, the title improves everything that its big brother has put in place while still offering more game modes and options.
A little more animation during the celebrations and on the track with the arrival of the safety car in the race, the addition of events with Supercars to drive and drops in FPS during less significant cutscenes than in 2021, the standing of the latest generation of consoles is finally respected.
