Game News Elden Ring: Creator Hidetaka Miyazaki rewarded for his work during a prestigious ceremony!
With over 13 million units sold and a great chance of getting a huge amount of Game of the Year awards, Elden Ring is THE mainstream success From Software has been waiting for. The studio already enjoyed a great reputation, but had not yet succeeded in imposing a game so widely upon its release.
We know the essence of From Software games. A mysterious worldcryptic, equally strange characters, a requirement every moment, memorable bosses and soundtracks very high level. Awarded many times, Miyazaki even received the prize Life Achievement Award at the Golden Joystick Awards in 2018presented by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson, the creators of a book of which you are the hero.

His work, as well as that of his many collaborators, has even given birth to a video game sub-genre, the Souls-Liketaken up by many creators. This journey, as well as the influence of Hidetaka Miyazaki earned him today recognition by his peers in Japansince he will receive, at the end of August, a Special price during the CEDEC 2022 (CESA Developers Conference), a seminar organized each year in Japan since 1999 by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association.
An award attributed for his “production methods and skills that continue to inspire and influence the gaming industry”as well as for his “award-winning titles that captured the attention of fans and game creators”. Thanks to this award, Hidetaka Miyazaki, who has a reputation for being very discreet, includes a list of highly recognized creators in Japan and around the world, like Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario and Zelda), Yuji Horii (DragonQuest), Satoshi Tajiri and Tsunekazu Ishihara (Pokemon), Ken Kutaragi (PlayStation), Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy), Mashahiro Sakurai (Super Smash Bros) or even Toru Iwatani (Space Invaders).
