During an interview given to the Telegram this Sunday, August 7, Lambert Wilson paid a superb tribute to actress Charlotte Valandrey, who died on July 13 at the age of 53.

Despite a breathtaking career, Lambert Wilson has never forgotten Charlotte Valandrey. The man with 125 films to his credit crossed paths with the actress during a shoot. And the latter has always remained in a corner of his memory. They met almost forty years ago. Then a teenager, Charlotte Valandrey, whose real name was Anne-Charlotte Pascal, saw Lambert Wilson for the first time during the filming of Véra Belmont’s film, Rouge Baiser.

A film that changed the life of the actress, who was only a beginner in the profession. After the theatrical release, she also received the prize for female interpretation at the Berlin festival. “We lived together the wonderful story of this film. But it was disproportionate, it was a teenager, who combined grace and bad humor”remembered Lambert Wilson, in tribute to Charlotte Valandrey.

Lambert Wilson: ‘She was incredibly brave’

Yes, because the latter has left us. HIV-positive since the age of 17, something she waited until 2005 to inform the general public, Charlotte Valandrey died on July 13, at the age of 53. She had been hospitalized since the end of June after a heart transplant.

Very saddened, Lambert Wilson also discussed it at length with a journalist from the Telegram, this Sunday, August 7. “She was brave to tell and defend her story the way she did. Her death shocked me, she was incredibly brave and natural.” A very touching new tribute.
