A strategic partnership
Whether it is to benefit from a first-class showcase or to strengthen their position on the market, cryptocurrency companies keep investing in partnerships with renowned athletes, teams and even structures in their own right.
The Crypto.com and FTX trading platforms are the 2 biggest behemoths in the world of sports marketing, each in turn spending staggering amounts of money to make their mark.
Within 2 months, Crypto.com has signed several major partnershipsincluding advertising time during the Super Bowl which will take place next month, or a 20-year contract at 700 million dollars with the Staples Center in Los Angeles, which will be renamed for the same duration as “Crypto. comArena”.
Details of the contract between the Lebron James Family Foundation and Crypto.com have yet to be made public, but training on the new features brought by Web 3.0 could well inspire other platforms to follow suit.
Indeed, it can be quite beneficial for a company to recruit the people it has helped to train from a strategic point of view.
In any case, Crypto.com continues to place its pawns and it seems to work since the platform is 5th in terms of daily volumes and also saw the value of its CRO token explode during the year 2021.
